Carolyn Strauss began her career at HBO as a temp in 1986 and left almost 22 years later as President of HBO Entertainment. She owes her success there to some extraordinary mentors who trained her eye and mind to seek and encourage the voice and vision of storytellers. Carolyn had the good fortune to be associated with many stand out programs during her tenure including; The Sopranos, Sex and the City, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Deadwood, The Wire and Six Feet Under among others. Since leaving the company as an executive, she maintains her relationship as a producer – most notably as an Executive Producer on Game of Thrones and most recently, the mini-series, Chernobyl. Strauss grew up in Scarsdale, NY and graduated from Harvard University in 1985.
