Naomi started her career writing, performing and directing live comedy. After a brief stint as a director’s assistant on New Line’s The Golden Compass, and producing and casting in factual entertainment, she moved into script editing, working across series such as Spooks and collaborating with Abi Morgan on The Hour, later serving as Associate Producer on River. As Head of Development at Kudos, she developed Humans, Apple Tree Yard and Tin Star, amongst others.
After developing and producing the first series of the BAFTA-nominated Flowers by Will Sharpe, she moved to SISTER in Spring 2016 as an Executive Producer and was promoted to Creative Director of Scripted in May 2021. Under her own label, Hootenanny, which specialises in distinctive narrative comedy, Naomi has executive produced Don’t Forget the Driver, the second series of Flowers and Desiree Akhavan’s The Bisexual.
Her SISTER credits include The Baby, Pack of Lies, and the adaptations of Naomi Alderman’s The Power and Adam Kay’s This Is Going To Hurt. Upcoming projects include Apple’s Prodigies, starring Will Sharpe and Ayo Edebiri, and the new BBC series The Dream Lands, created by BAFTA-winning writer Kayleigh Llewellyn.
