Paula grew up in a small town in Finland, but has spent the past 11 years in Japan and the UK. She started her career in citizen journalism and helped produce short documentaries for outlets such as The Guardian and Channel 4 News. Later she went back to university to study for an MA in Filmmaking, and after a stint of producing and writing short films she joined BBC Films as a trainee Development Assistant. Paula joined SISTER in 2019 as a maternity cover and has stuck around since. She loves karaoke, animals and reality TV and would describe her taste as “European arthouse meets commercial romcom”.

Either on a horseback in rural Finland or singing karaoke in Tokyo a few chuuhais in.
